The Severn Sessions features a unique evening of captivating and innovative music from Duotone (Barney Morse-Brown) that will leave you spell-bound!
Currently a member of Robert Plant’s Saving Grace, and touring extensively in Europe, The UK, USA and South America, Barney Morse-Brown (performing as Duotone) is an extraordinary musician well known for his alternative approach to music.
He loops guitars and cellos, percussion and voices to create soundscapes ranging from the ethereal to the majestic.
This concert marks a new Duotone recording alongside Drummer Ged Lynch (Peter Gabriel) & Welsh singer Cadi Gwyn.
Barney’s passion for performance was established early on. He studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, where he was awarded a scholarship to study baroque cello at the Royal College of Music. The cello has always played a pivotal role in Barney’s life, starting at the age of six, progressing through college and university, to building a career as a professional musician working with the likes of Chris Wood, The Imagined Village and Eliza Carthy. Barney has honed his skills within this world to help him create a sound that not only challenges convention but also shows the versatility of the cello.

With support on the night from Dave Farmer and Maddie Whiting, the powerhouse vocalists from eco-warriors Rebel and the Banned, this evening will be one to linger long in the memory.
Thanks to support from the Arts Council's Grassroots Music Fund, we are presenting an exciting programme of live events throughout the coming year.
To help make these events as accessible as possible, our three tier pricing allows everyone to find a price point that suits their circumstances so, in addition to the STANDARD price, in addition to the STANDARD price, we are offering two further options, PAY A BIT LESS and a BASE PRICE.
We run a ticketless system, so just turn up on the night - your name will be on the door list.
Doors and Bars open from 7:00pm the Show starts at 7:30pm.
