A dark drama-with-laughs In which the children of a once highly acclaimed artist hire an art restorer to ‘complete’ their dying father’s unfinished Christopher series of paintings in order to secure a massive inheritance.
This British film starring Ian McKellen, Michaela Coel, James Corden and Jessica Gunning, crackles with wit and twists. Ian McKellen’s trademark cantankerous, scenery-chewing performance as the ageing artist is worth the admission alone.
